It looks like paper of some sort.

I would think tvtek. For sure something you've hit with a heat gun. Maybe also paper napkins?

No, No, it's called 'tissue fabric'... I think anyway. If I'm right it is great fun to try, and Sue Z is right, it makes for great background for P/Cs... have made several of these using this method. Anyway we'll see...
cheers - Faye

It looks a bit like a painted paper kitchen towel.

Is it fabric paper? The wrinkles look like glued down tissue paper. The colors appear to be spritzed on. It could also be something zapped with the heat gun because the copper colored paint in the top photo appears to be raised slightly. I guess we'll all just have to wait and see.

I'm with Carol - crumpled brown paper ironed onto fusible web then painted, inked etc.(not on the fusible side, the paper side of course!) Yes?

Is it dryer sheet with adhesive, crushed, painted and stamped?

I'm with Carol too - I was going to say crumpled brown paper with metallic paints.

I will go for the crumpled paper too, not neccessarily brown and stuch down with PVA perhaps or bonded down. Spritzed with colour before crumbling perhaps?
